This 4-day workshop will host a small group of up to 20 participants, featuring expert-led lectures and hands-on lab activities focused on cutting-edge biobased materials.

Registration and abstract submission are open for the conference on Sustainable Food Biotechnology on 12-14 February 2025 in Aveiro, Portugal. Organized by the EFB Plant, Agriculture and Food Division, the conference will focus on the latest in food science and technology, covering key topics such as:

  • Smart packaging innovations
  • Food waste to bio-products
  • Boosting soil health
  • Food biotechnology ethics

Registration will be open soon for the upcoming edition of the Green Deal Biotechnology Conference, organized by the EFB Environmental Biotechnology Division. The event will be held on 26-28 May 2025, in Aveiro, Portugal. The Scientific programme will include the following topics:
  • Innovative solutions in soil bioremediation
  • Biotechnological valorization of marine and other natural resources and wastes
  • Sustainability of environmental biotechnology solutions
  • Biotechnological approaches to nutrient cycling balances
  • AI and genome editing - friends or foes in environmental biotechnology?

Registration opens on 11th November

The 7th edition of the Green for Good (G4G2025) conference, organized by the EFB Plant, Agriculture and Food Division on 1-4 September 2025 in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

Our mission is to unite experts in plant biotechnology, including fields such as gene editing and breeding, biological agriculture, waste utilization, disease and pest management, and indoor vs. outdoor farming, who will share their latest scientific findings and explore strategies to support a sustainable future.

The program will feature an “Industry Meets Academia” session and a panel debate on the regulation of New Genomic Techniques. We are committed to fostering diversity and supporting researchers at various stages of their careers. Therefore, the conference will include keynote lectures by leading scientists, presentations by early career researchers selected from submitted abstracts, and flash poster presentations.
