The Microbial Biotechnology Division is pleased to remind that the meeting programme is now available on the conference website and registration and abstract submission are open. PYFF8 offers an exciting programme of talks across a wide range of topics related to the evolution, genetics, physiology and application of yeasts and filamentous fungi. There will be opportunities for oral and poster presentations, and to apply for bursaries for supporting the participation of young scientists. We look forward to receiving your abstracts and to welcoming you to Cork (IE) in June 2023.

Microbiology Society’s founding journal now fully Open Access
Sharing high-quality research for over 75 years, Microbiology is now fully Open Access (OA). By publishing OA with the not-for-profit Microbiology Society, you not only increase your opportunities for global impact and reach, but support us in providing activities, grants and events for international microbiologists. Submit now to:
Expand your reach:
OA research can be read by anyone, anywhere in the world, with no restriction on reading, sharing, or reusing.
Increase your impact:
Articles published OA in Society journals get on average twice the citations and 3.7 times the usage of paywalled content, based on data from Web of Science across all Society journals.
Support your community:
Publishing with the Microbiology Society raises funds for grants, events and policy projects for microbiologists across the world.

As experts in fluidtransferology, Beckman Coulter Life Sciences offers a broad range of flexible, scalable liquid handling solutions and reagents for NGS, genomic, cellular, protein and other workflows — including areas such as synthetic biology and more.
Use the Biomek i-Series to automate complex steps of the protocol. Transform and culture bacterial cells and prepare DNA samples for use with this liquid handler. Perform initial testing of your product, from transduction or analytical characterization, and scale therapeutic biological production downstream of this workflow.
The Echo 525 Acoustic Liquid Handler flexes across every step of a synthetic biology workflow while miniaturizing reactions and consuming less resources.
Our reagent portfolio is powered by Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization (SPRI) technology—widely known as the science behind AMPure XP—which uses SPRI paramagnetic beads to selectively bind nucleic acids by size.
