  • About the event
    The topic Healthy Soils is a key element of the European Soil Strategy. This first edition of the European Healthy Soils Conference Series addressed the relevance of healthy soils and soil fertility as prerequisite for a functioning society, environment, economy, and climate.
    The 3-day conference aims to brought together soil scientists, along with stakeholders from industry, agriculture, and the public sector, to discuss the maintenance of and opportunities in healthy soils. The event was co-organized by the FHNW School of Life Sciences and Agroscope, under the umbrella of the European Federation of Biotechnology divisions of Plant, Agriculture & Food and Environmental Biotechnology.

    VENUE

    The European Healthy Soils Conference, 1st Edition, Soil Fertility will be hosted by the School of Life Sciences at the FHNW Campus Muttenz.
    Muttenz is 7 minutes by train from Basel Main Station (Basel SBB) and the Campus is a 6-minute walk from the Muttenz train station.
    The modern FHNW Campus Muttenz hosts the School of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geomatics, the School of Life Sciences, the School of Education, and the School of Social Work and School of Engineering. This new state of the art building offers excellent amenities for a successful Symposium. We are looking forward to welcoming you here!
