The Environmental Biotechnology Division of the EFB is delighted to invite scientists from academia and industry for the “Green Deal Biotechnology” conference in Poznań (Poland), from 6-8 November 2023.
The event will highlight the latest advances in achieving a circular economy in which environmental biotechnology plays a major role and it will focus on 7 major challenges:
Recovery of resources; rare resources and novel bio-based value chains
Healthy soil and food security
Bioelectrochemistry for energy and water recovery
Wastewater treatment
Nanotechnology in environmental biotechnology
Marine biotechnology
Antibiotics and micropollutants in the environment

The Microbial Biotechnology Division of the EFB is happy to announce the 6th meeting on Microbial Responses to Stress with a program covering both fundamental and applied aspects.
Researchers from academia and industry are invited to join the meeting at TU Wien, Vienna, Austria from September 18-21, 2023, including microbiologists, biotechnologists, system biologists, biochemists, and molecular biologists.
The abstract deadline is May 30th, and registration is open.
Before the conference, there will be an open meeting of the COST action EuroMicropH. The meeting will take place at the same venue starting on Monday, September 18.

The Microbiology Society’s sound science open research platform, Access Microbiology, is offering free open access publication for all papers submitted before June 2023.
Focusing on sound science rather than novelty, Access Microbiology welcomes replication studies, null results and methods. We are happy to announce that on June 9, 10 and 11, 2023, we will celebrate the XIII Congress of the European Foundation for Traditional Complementary and Integrative Medicine (FEMTCI) in Palacio de Congresos from Peñíscola, Spain.
The Congress will focus on the Efficacy, Quality, Acceptance and Regulation of Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicines (TCIM). The objective is to highlight the effectiveness and quality of the disciplines, their characteristics and their reality and to give visibility to the need for their regulation.

The 16th Asian Congress on Biotechnology will be held in the Biotechnology Centre of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from the 15th to 19th of October, 2023. Even although there has been some disturbance due to the Covid pandemic situation, ECB and ACB will be held in alternate years.
