The "Biocat4Value" meeting will take place in the Lindner Hotel Düsseldorf Airport in Düsseldorf, the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
This 4-star hotel is located nearby the Airport and is reachable by train, bus or taxi.
Dusseldorf International Airport is 2.5 km from the hotel. Buses and trams can be found in front of the hotel, and A52 and A44 motorways are both 3 minutes away. The Merkur Spiel-Arena and the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre are within a 10-minute drive.

TRANSPORTATION

By plane
Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) is an international airport located about 7 km north of downtown Düsseldorf. Cologne-Bonn airport (CGN) is also just a short train ride away from Düsseldorf. Alternatively, you can fly to Frankfurt (FRA) and take a train to Düsseldorf, which takes less than one and a half hours if you take the fastest train connection.
More than 350 trains from S-Bahns (urban trains) to ICEs (Intercity Express trains), stop at Düsseldorf Airport train station every day. The SkyTrain will take you straight into the terminal from the station building. Only the S-Bahn S11 stops at the Düsseldorf Airport Terminal station in the basement of the terminal building. The S11 runs from Bergisch Gladbach via Düsseldorf central station to the airport.


By train

The main railway station is Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof; it is a ten-minute walk east of the city centre.Düsseldorf is well-connected to the national and international rail network. Thalys trains speed west to Brussels and Paris; Vienna and Zurich both have two direct day trains from Düsseldorf. There are EuroCity trains to Berne, Interlaken and Zurich. Deutsche Bahn’s sleek silver ICE trains leave Düsseldorf hourly for Munich and Berlin, both less than five hours away.There are also direct ICE trains to Utrecht and Amsterdam. Direct night sleeper services leave Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof for Munich, Innsbruck, Linz and Vienna.


By bus
Düsseldorf Central Bus Station (ZOB) is the main bus station in the city. You will find numerous buses to and from Düsseldorf, whether you are traveling within Germany or to and from a multitude of cities in Europe.

Located in North Rhine-Westphalia, Düsseldorf is a cosmopolitan city that is renowned as an international business centre. The Messe Düsseldorf organises many trade shows, and five Fortune Global 500 companies have their headquarters here. The city is also home to excellent restaurants and countless museums. However, there is also another inspiring side to Düsseldorf: the city has its own beer, Altbier, and a great music and nightlife scene. Like many other cities in Germany, it is famous for its Carnival celebrations, which start every year on 11 November at 11:11 a.m. and end on Ash Wednesday. Two days earlier, on Rose Monday, a huge parade meanders through the streets of Düsseldorf. Dress in your craziest outfit and have fun!
