The European Congress on Biotechnology 2024 will be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, at the De Doelen International Congress Center, from 30 June to 3 July 2024. The theme for the 2024 Congress will be “Grand Challenges for Biotechnology: Health; Food Security; and Global Warming”.

“Green Deal Biotechnology”, a conference organized by the EFB Environmental Division, was held on 6-8 November 2023 in Poznań, Poland. The meeting, attended by 60 scientists from 14 countries, focused on the key role of biotechnology in achieving a circular bioeconomy. Topics included recovery of resources, marine biotechnology and healthy soil and food, as well as an overview of emerging technologies.

REGISTRATION AND ABSTRACT SUBMISSION ARE OPEN!
Registration and abstract submission are open for the Bacterial Electron Transfer Meeting on 6-8 March 2024 in Alicante, Spain.
Sessions will be organized around different topics that include bioenergetics, metabolism, stress adaptation, respiration of human microbiota, antibiotic resistance, host-pathogen relationships and cell biology aspects. Talks by highly renowned invited speakers will be supplemented by shorter talks chosen from abstract submissions

The 7th Applied Synthetic Biology in Europe (ASBE VII) conference is organised by the EFB Bioengineering and Bioprocessing Division and the EFB Microbial Biotechnology Division. The event will be held on 6-8 November 2024 in Brno, Czech Republic.
ASBE VII will explore the wealth of applied synthetic biology research and how it is contributing to progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The meeting will bring together key partners from academia, industry and the third sector interested in using synthetic biology, engineering biology and applied microbiology to address global challenges.
The format is designed to mix international guest lectures by renowned scientists with shorter presentations by early career researchers. The programme has a strong ED&I focus, with invited talks and presentations selected from submitted abstracts.
