New! European Workshop on Biotechnology: Biobased Materials

The EFB Biobased Materials Division is pleased to announce a new event: the European Workshop on Biotechnology: Biobased Materials. This four-day training workshop is designed for a small group of participants and will feature both lectures and hands-on laboratory practice.

The scientific program will cover the following topics (theory and practice):

• Introduction to biobased materials (including polyesters, polysaccharides, proteins, and polyamides)
• Biopolymer biosynthesis
• Processing and applications of biopolymers
• Purification and characterization of biopolymers
• Circularity and sustainability of biopolymers

The lectures and lab sessions will take place at HES-SO Valais in Sion, Switzerland.
