The 20th European Congress on Biotechnology (ECB2026) took place in Antwerp, Belgium, from 28 June to 1 July 2026, bringing together the biotechnology community to explore the latest advances in research, innovation and sustainable biotechnology.

More than 500 participants attended the Congress, with over 300 oral and poster presentations covering a wide range of topics across health, food, sustainability and industrial biotechnology.

ECB2026 provided an excellent platform for scientific exchange, networking and collaboration, connecting researchers, industry professionals and early-career scientists from across Europe and beyond.

The next European Congress on Biotechnology will take place in Toulouse, France, in 2028.
