In these difficult COVID-19 times, the Applied Synthetic Biology in Europe (ASBE V) organizing committee would like to share their solidarity with you, your colleagues and your loved ones. Amidst several cancellations and re-scheduling of scientific meetings due to this situation, we are happy to announce that abstract submission and registration for the ASBE V meeting is already open! Do not miss this unique chance to join the synthetic biology community in November; we look very much forward to seeing you all in Delft.

In these exceptional and unprecedented times, many companies and organizations are eagerly working to advance the development of a vaccine in the context of the current COVID-19 crisis.
New bioprocess technologies such as single-use equipment and process automation open up novel possibilities for quality control and validation. This is especially important in GMP regulated environments such as in the development and manufacturing of new influence vaccines. When facing a pandemic outbreak, the need to smoothly develop new processes and quickly scale-up to clinical production volumes is key to efficiently develop new vaccinations.
Eppendorf, your expert partner in bioprocessing, contributes with its bioprocess solutions and services.

ISBP2021Due to CODVID-19, we had to postpone ISBP2020 to 2021. ISBP2021 will focus on microbially synthesized (bio)polymers like polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), cellulose, pullulan, cyanophycin, polylactic acid (PLA), polyisoprenes (rubbers), but is also open for bio-based polymers (e.g. BioPET and PEF), and will include inorganic biopolymers such as polyphosphate (polyP). Biosynthesis, processing, applications, as well as biocompatibility and biodegradability of such materials will be discussed.
